You will also be introduced to our therapeutic approach. The session provides an opportunity for your therapist to get to know you, explore your presenting issues, and review relevant background and history. Most importantly, this first meeting is about building a connection—creating a safe, respectful, and supportive space where you feel comfortable. For more complex cases, your clinician may spend additional time on case conceptualisation, refining your therapeutic goals in the second session as appropriate.
